Raw milk may do more harm than good

Raw milk which is often known as unpasteurized milk develops antibiotic-resistance bacteria if left at room temperature. Consuming this milk on a daily basis may make your immune system fragile and make you exposed to various bacterial diseases. The worst thing is that, with time, it develops and multiplies the number of antibiotic-resistance bacteria. Therefore, it is advised by every dietician and health consultant that milk should be first boiled and then consumed.

What is wrong with raw milk?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), from 1993 through 2012, there were 127 outbreaks linked to raw milk or raw milk products like ice cream, soft cheese, or yogurt. These have resulted in more than 2000 illness cases and 150 hospitalizations. The data may be sufficient enough for you to get an idea of what damage raw milk can cause to you or to your loved ones, especially children. You can even develop symptoms that are chronic, severe and even life threatening. Most commonly, bacteria in raw milk can cause vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), abdominal pain, fever, headache and body aches.

Figures & Facts

The average human body contains around 39 trillion individual bacterial cells – more than the total number of human cells in the body. We need a mixture of microorganisms, perhaps commonly known as “good” bacteria, to fight off the bad ones.

Since microorganisms are found everywhere, it’s perhaps unsurprising that they are commonplace on the average dairy farm. One has to be careful regarding consumption of milk as it is the most crucial aspect of any family’s nutritional diet. Let your children enjoy the good value that milk provides but that doesn’t lie in raw milk.

The solution to this is now available in form of pasteurized bottled milk which are available everywhere now. There are several farms which provide door to door services. You can simply order your milk online and get it delivered at your doorstep with perfect quality pasteurized milk.
